2006 Jewelry Trends: Linear earrings at the Golden Globe Awards

The look was overwhelmingly leaner and more linear at the Golden Globes. There were still some gorgeous chandelier earring earrings on the red carpet, but celebrities predominately were wearing the newer linear earrings. We saw a wide variety ofl linear dangle earrings: a single briolette hanging from the end of a simple line of diamonds or gemstones, three or four gemstones dangling at the end of a single vertical row, a couple of strands of gems on one earring hanging down, a big gem on the ear and a large briolette hanging beneath it and on and on. The linear earring jewelry trend that's been trying to make it onto the scene for the past year and one-half made it in a big way at the Golden Globe awards. The chandelier earrings we saw at the 2006 Golden Globes were a little more streamlined than we've seen in the past.
